Sri Lankan Students Studying Overseas Now Permitted to obtain overseas funding – New Exchange Control Regulations in Sri Lanka

Sri Lankan citizens pursuing studies abroad are permitted to borrow funds (Student Loand) from foreign banks, financial institutions, universities or educational institutions to meet tuition/living expenses. Parents and guardians of students are permitted to repay Student Loans provided by foreign lending institutions through licensed commercial banks in Sri Lanka.
